BioSpear is a water soluble molecule that kills bacteria, mold and fungus. It is also effective against certain viruses.
When it dries the active ingredient forms a odorless, colorless, positively charged polymer that forms a covalent bond either to hard or soft surfaces. When a microorganism comes in contact with the treated surface, the Quaternary amine “spear” punctures the cell membrane and a small electrical charge “shocks” the cell. Since nothing is transferred to the now dead cell, the antimicrobial doesn’t lose strength and the “spear’’ is ready for the next cell to contact it.
Once BioSpear is applied it is only removed by abrasion so the answer depends on where it is applied. If it is applied to a floor or a high touch point area then we would recommend every 30 days. Other areas we would recommend re application after 60-90 days. It will kill bacteria that causes odour so it can help keep your clothing fresh and odour free- fabrics tests have shown it is still effective after 99 washes.

View Biospear as an added layer protection. Your existing cleaning products are only clean whilst wet and there has to be a dwell time of at least 5 minutes for it to be totally effective. As soon as they are dry they stop working which means anyone carry bacteria touching the recently cleaned surface can infect it and it remains infected until it is cleaned again. This means anyone can pick up that infection and transport it everywhere else with potentially catastrophic results. By adding BioSpear to your cleaning regime you are giving round the clock protection preventing infection and the spread of microbes between cleanings. It will also protect if an area is missed during the normal cleaning regime.
Both products contain the same BioSpear molecule but our new patented sprays and wipes are formulated to not only sanitise on contact (99.9999%) conforming to BS EN 1276 2009 but also delivers a layer of BioSpear molecules onto the surface to give ongoing protection between cleanings. This means you can get BioSpear protection without any change to your cleaning regime or method. These products are designed for everyday sanitising and cleaning. The BioSpear ready to use (RTU) must be applied to a clean surface and has a higher concentration of molecules. This means a room can fogged or sprayed and once dry you will have ongoing protection for between 30- 90 days between your normal cleanings. For example we fog operating theatres once a month and they daily clean the touch points with our dual product. So far in 24 months the MRSA infection rates has been reduced to zero.
BioSpear can be used anywhere a normal disinfectant spray can be used, either at home, nurseries, churches, transportation hubs, medical facilities, the office or any commercial environment. It can also be used in manufacturing processes to add anti microbial activity to a product. It can be used in kitchens on surfaces and counter tops, but for cutting boards and food contact areas BioSpear must be dry before the boards are used to prepare food (the same as other cleaning products). Yes – It can be used on all surfaces and on fabrics so you can protect your clothes as well.
The RTU can be applied using trigger sprays, foggers, or pump up sprayers – just apply to clean surface and let it dry. The cleaning spray and wipes can be used like you normally would use any other product – just give it some dwell time. The laundry additive can be added to a rinse cycle in a washing machine or you can use a bucket to treat clothing, shoes etc, It can also be dosed in commercial washing facilities. No – unlike antibiotics which poison bacteria in what is called a zone of inhibition, which can lead to survivors that can develop resistance to the poison, BioSpear kills mechanically so there is no way for a bacteria to develop immunity through mutation.
